I bring my academic background, knowledge of Russian, and experience working in Russian archives to your work while also serving as an objective, neutral reader.

From 2000 to 2007 I worked on my PhD in Russian History at the University of Virginia. My dissertation research examined the tensions surrounding the use and preservation of formerly religious spaces and sacred architecture in the early Soviet urban landscape. I left academia when I realized teaching was not a good match for my skills, but I’ve never lost my love for Russian history or my interest in academic scholarship.

I worked in book publishing for several years, followed by website and mobile development. My experience includes proofreading and copy editing, as well as indexing and taxonomy management in a variety of subject areas.
